Quick Lunch

Quick Lunches!
AKA
"No Plate" Lunch
The Yocum boys are SO over a normal plates for lunch and would prefer to eat from muffin tins! Which is FINE by me!!! It is SO much easier! I found this idea from a COOL blog called the Muffin Tin Mom

*this also helps teach them (and me) to eat let them eat any part of their lunch when they want to DURING lunch time. I do not care what they eat first or last and most of the time they eat ALMOST ALL their lunch!!

If we move back to the lower 48 before then we will regroup and see. Remember I was a teacher (it is in my blood) and now I get to be one at home. Sorry about the iPhone pictures but I can not find my camera battery charger! Have a great Monday! xoxox

Pinterest, I heart You

Once again Pinterest amazes me! Here are our new (and cheap) bookshelves! They are great and made from plastic RAIN GUTTERS!!! They are perfect for the boys "Bunk Room"!!!!

The Hubs did ALL the work I just picked out the gutters (from Lowes) and bossed told him where I wanted them. He did ALL the work. I have NO idea the details of how he did it, that is why he IS the engineer and I am the Mom, ha!

I DO think they turned out SUPER SUPER cute!!! Yay, for the boys room being more or less FINISHED before baby Hen Hen gets here on Thursday!!

{The "pin" of the idea}
{The blog with the details}

Have a Blessed week and lets remember the men and women who have fought and gave their lives for our freedom and please keep their families in your prayers. Thank you to those who are fighting for us this Memorial Day. So thankful for them and their families. God Bless

Hard Baked Eggs and Egg Molds!

My children are OBSESSED with hard baked eggs! I mean OBSESSED! They can go through a carton of eggs in a few days! SO, I now had the excuse to buy these CUTE egg molds off Amazon!! Here is how to use them! {This batch I used "Large" eggs BUT I think the "Jumbo" would have been MUCH better}The boys loved them anyways and ate these FOUR after dinner, AFTER dessert....They love them I tell you.

Bake your eggs, using a mini muffin tin
 In the oven on 350 degrees for 30min
{oven temp and time may vary}
Once eggs are finished they may have brown spots on them but that is OKAY!
Place baked eggs in an ice bath for 10min {this will wash off their spots and stop the cooking}
Now you can peel the eggs or save them in the fridge!!

EGG MOLD TIME!
Bake the eggs as stated above BUT DO NOT give them the ice bath YET!!

Open up these cute molds.

Once the eggs are baked
Peel the eggs under cool water and place in the mold
{eggs should STILL be warm when placed in mold}

Close up the molds and place in a
cold/ice water bath for 10min
After 10min open up your molds and there you GO
 a CUTE fish and a car!!
{Don't mind the fish, he got attacked by the shell!}
My boys loved them and when they are ready to eat, I cut them in half and dash some Tony Chachere's on top, then cut in bite size bites!

I learned about the "Hare Baked Eggs" from Pinterest! From The Burlap Bag blog

Meet Baby Hen-Hen: In the Tummy

Update: I just got back from the Dr. I am at an 80% and dilated to a 1. SO, I am still on bed rest and the Dr. asked if mom would stay another week. Dr. said if I take it easy for the next week I should be okay for another two weeks. Mom was to leave on Sunday so now she is thinking about just staying until Hen gets here instead of coming back the end of the month. I know many women have stayed at a 1 for weeks SO I pray I will be the same. BUT Tiny came at 36 and Paps at 37 SO you never know! Back to bed (I did get the ok to take Tiny to and from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, whew!)
Sweet Boy at 33/34 weeks, he looks JUST like his brothers!
17/18 weeks

26/27 weeks

29/30 weeks

34/35 weeks
Keeping our fingers crossed he stays in for at LEAST 2 more weeks!!!

A Tiny Update

He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
—Psalm 112:7

What a verse! This morning at 5am I read my Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, and BOY was it talking to us! I definitely left the house with peace and strength. The best words a mom to hear is "It all went well!" our Dr is not worried at all about what she removed and stressed that she DOES NOT think it is the "c" word. We will have the official results by the end of the week or by Monday.
I did leave today feeling silly/guilty for worrying so much about this TINY spot when
there was much, MUCH, bigger surgeries and illnesses going on at the surgery
center today. I will continue to pray for the families we met and my heart hurts for what I can only imagine they are going through. I had to dismiss the guilt and remind myself that there is nothing to small to ask the lord for in prayer. LOVE how all my friends told me TODAY "He is YOUR baby and YOU are A mom" and THEY too would have been worried. I am humbled and SO thankful for ALL the FB notes, calls, text, emails, comments, and prayers for Tiny, the Dr, and the family.
Now watch it be a VERY pricey pimple removal! Ha, the Hubs will be JUST thrilled.

NO MATTER what it is I am so THANKFUL we had it removed and we will continue to still pray that it is DIRT!!!

Here are some iPhone pictures from today!!

Daddy holding Tiny as his sleepy meds kicked in
Paps SO confused why in the WORLD he had to wake up at 5:30am
Tiny AFTER he got sick a few times after waking up in the recovery roomTiny HAPPY to be home with his new remote control car!

We can NOT thank yall enough for ALL the prayers, we could feel them!!

xoxo

PS. This FAMILY is NOT made to wake up at 5am. I send extra love to those who kids wake up that early (or have to wake them up that early for work) because I could NOT do it, YOU my friend are my hero!

My Sweet Tiny

I am a Mother, a Worrier, and a Picker!! As a Mom you know that you are your cute children's voice. You may be asking, a "picker"?? YES, I am a picker. I pick at my kids, as in clean their ears, check for dirt, bugs, boogs, brush their teeth...so I "pick" them and my dad tells me I do it too much. WELL, in late January, I was doing my daily "picking" in the boys ears for ear stuff and I saw Tiny had a small black, scab like dot in his ear. I tried to pick it out but it did not move. After months of still being there and I could not get rid of it- it was driving ME nuts. I made an appointment to see his Dr. and he recommend us to see an ENT to have a better look at. Our ENT is awesome, caring, and loving. She does not like the way the spot looks under the big microscope. The color, shape, and being raised makes her want to remove the spot. I AM OKAY with THAT, being the picker I am I want it OUT!!
SO tomorrow morning she will be removing it. Due to him being so young, it will be held at the surgery center so he can be "night night" when she removes it. It should only take about 15-20min BUT I am nervous!!! I am NOT sure how parents handle surgery's that last HOURS!!!I  We will have the results we hope by Friday to see what this is. I PRAY nothing, maybe dirt, ha! BUT I agree with our ENT that we need to test it, she did prepare us that it "could" be something of concern but lets just pray it is NOTHING!!!
SO welcome to the NEW blog and would you please lift up our Sweet Tiny and his Dr tomorrow in prayer. I will keep yall posted!
