Reindeer Food DIY

Last year my BFF and I made Reindeer Food for our children's school Christmas Party, Party Favors. We feel in love with this idea and the boys LOVED making the food AND throwing it in the yard on Christmas Eve! This year i decided to make reindeer clips to hold my DARLING Ciao Bambino Printables! Here is an EASY DIY of Reindeer Food! Enjoy!

-Wooden Clips
-Black and Red Markers
-Pipe Cleaners
-Scissors
-Printables with Poem on Card stock
-Oats
-Sprinkles
-Glitter
-Ribbon
-Cellophane Bags

Ciao Bambinos Printables! LOVE them!!!
I have been planing parties with Jeniene for about 4 years! She the NICEST woman I have ever worked with. Through the years I have been able to call her my friend, she has SUCH a kind heart and blessing in my life! Check out her Etsy shop and like her facebook page!
I am saying all this bc i love her and her work!

Take one pipe cleaner, cut in half.
Wrap around and twist around ONE side of a clip (It will be your backside).
Arrange like antlers

Black marker- Make two circles ABOVE the silver clip for the eyes
Red Marker- Make one circle UNDER the silver clip for the nose

-In a BIG bowl MIX Oats, glitter, and sprinkles
-Add 1/2 a cup of mixture to your cellophane bag
-Tie a ribbon to close (DO NOT knot yet)
-Add clip JUST the back side (you need the clip to work)
-Tie and KNOT the ribbon to the SIDE (makes the scarf)
-Clip your Ciao Bambino Printable
-Use your scissors to trim the bag just ABOVE the antlers

And just like that you have a DARLING and EASY party favor for your friends!

Merry Merry Christmas!

Kid sheets

Forever ago when I taught school I read a book that taught you ways to teach your students/kids to be successful at being independent. One of the tips that always stuck with me was to only use the fitted sheet and comforter for children's bed. This way they could make their bed and be successful with this task. My kids don't use a sheet or a comforter, they prefer their lovies as blankets, so this trick works like a charm for us! And it saves ME time in making the bed and cleaning the sheets! SO I now have a STACK of flat sheets that have never been used! I use one to cover the box mattress and the rest just sit in the closet!
My friend Ashleigh uses towels when working with messy crafts and after seeing her pics it clicked! I can use these flat sheets for messy crafts.
TODAY I finally remembered to pull them out so they boys could play with play dough during independent play! And the sheets worked great! I am excited to shake out and pick up play dough from the sheet rather then picking it out of the carpet. I hope this helps you! Thanks Ash for always having great ideas!! Xoxo

Ninja the Gingerbread Man

Yesterday afternoon we decorated a gingerbread house and a gingerbread train. Ninja hid a gingerbread man, icing, and candy so he could decorate it after his visit with Santa last night! Boy did he make a mess! James thought he was SO silly!!!!!

Elf Tongs!!!

 Elf Safety First.... Elf Tongs

Ninja brought mommy some "Elf Tongs" this year!
Heaven forbid I touch him to move him. Last year I found I needed to move him a few times to be productive in my day and OH MY WORD, James would NOT have that!!! Yes, I know, if I touch him he will loose his magic BUT this mommy MAY have to move him! So this year it IS Elf safety first. John says it is cheating, I say I am brilliant!

All you need are some "fancy" tongs and Christmas ribbon. Ninja brought them last night!!!

Elf Calendar 2012

Here is my tentative Ninja the Elf calendar for 2012! I am a writer downer-put it on the fridge- type of girl. Thankful they can not read this year! If you would like this calendar in word please email me at amanda@tinybitmore.com and I will fwd you a copy! Remember I have all boys (if "ninja" didn't give that away) but many of these can be done with a girly twist! I may change a few as I go but I thought this was a great starting point for me! Happy Elfing!!! Xoxo
